Nicholyn Chang is an experienced business development professional with a strong background in fintech, microfinance, and digital banking solutions. She is currently working as a Principal at Africa Growth LLC, where she focuses on developing new business opportunities in the African market. Prior to this, she spent three years and nine months as a Business Development Lead at HelloGold Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian fintech company that specializes in gold-based savings and investment products.
Nicholyn has also worked as an Independent Consultant, providing strategic advice and support to various organizations in Malaysia. She worked on a freelance basis for Tontine Trust, a blockchain-based micro-pensions provider, and played a key role in the development of Maha Agriculture Microfinance, a for-profit microfinance initiative focused on farmers, vendors, and SMEs in Myanmar. She served as Chief Innovation and Risk Officer for Myanma Awba Group, the parent company of Maha Agriculture Microfinance.
Nicholyn has also worked for several years at Booz Allen Hamilton, a global management consulting firm. She started as a Junior Consultant in 2004 and worked her way up to become a Senior Consultant, providing advice and support to clients in various industries. She was also part of the team that led digital SME banking initiatives at CIMB FinTech, a standalone unit focused on developing innovative banking solutions leveraging cutting-edge technology for Southeast Asia.
Nicholyn has a strong track record of driving business growth and innovation in the fintech and microfinance sectors, and she is well-regarded for her strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
